About Us
There are three campuses of the International Academy. IA Okma/Central is located in Bloomfield Hills, IA West is in White Lake, and the one we are focusing on is IA East is in Troy. This is where it is located and the contact information of the school.
East Campus • 1291 Torpey Drive • Troy, MI 48083 • 248 823-8300 If you want to attend this school, you have to pass an entry test and get accepted through the lottery. The entry test is comprised of math from algebra to geometry and English. Depending on how well you do on the math test, it decides your placement on how difficult your math class will be in Freshman year. If you have not successfully passed the first time, you have two more tries and an opportunity to go to summer school to pass. The lottery is at random and a certain number of kids are accepted at a certain number, and any students after the accepted number are put on the waiting list until someone decides to drop out or move. Results and forms are on the IA website. |

Our History |
IA East opened in August of 2008. The first 9th grade class held only 125 students and now has grown over the years. Opening the doors of IA East has taken place at the old Baker Middle School, and now occupies the space and neighbors the modern Baker. One of the school's specialties is the wide range of clubs to join, and has grown over the years and is an enriching opportunity. In 2014, one of our profound things the students of IA East have done is competing in the semi-finals and finals of the Euro Challenge and many other prestige competitions. Many of our students have got accepted to great colleges ranging from MSU, U of M, Harvard, Yale, and many others.
